Bonnie Farr, Principal Oboe

 

Bonnie Farr currently serves as solo English horn and assistant principal oboe in the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra in Kentucky. She has also been heard in the American Wind Symphony, the Cincinnati Bach Ensemble, and the Knoxville S ymphony Orchestra. Her summer festival experiences include the Pierre Monteux School and the Imani Winds Chamber Music Festival at The Juilliard School. Bonnie also specializes in Yoga and Meditation for Musicians, and has given lectures at The University of Louisville, Central Connecticut State University, and the International Double Reed Society Conference. She completed both her Bachelor’s and Master’s of Music degrees at the University of Cincinnati-College Conservatory of Music. Her teachers include Dr. Mark Ostoich, Dwight Parry, and Phylis Secrist. Bonnie is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee.
